Drinking: What It Was Like

I love to go to blogs and read the person’s first posts. Sometimes I can hardly believe it’s the same person. It makes me feel that change is not only possible, but miraculous.

I’ve re-posted my first blog to show what it was like to live as a heavy drinker. Why not post your own first day?

    1. Me too. I am 5 days into a sugar detox and have all these awful psychological symptoms like anxiety and depression (which will go away), but it makes me remember that I used to feel like this all the time while drinking. Ugh!

  1. Wow! “Awful psychological symptoms like anxiety and depression” from a sugar detox! You’ve come a long way baby! I’m guessing you’re referring to M&Ms not Pinot Grigio, yes? Good for you! You are SO blessed. Merry Christmas!

    1. I so agree! And I went 26 days with just a couple of cookies, so I did a pretty good sugar detox. I can feel myself being drawn back in, so back to zero sugar tomorrow. And you’re right — when I think of what I was doing just two years ago — binging on Cosmopolitans — I have come a long way. Thank you!
